Breast lipofillingis a cosmetic surgical procedure and a modern technique that enhances breast volume and shape using only excess fat tissue from other parts of the patient’s body.
Breast lipofilling can be considered at various ages, depending on individual needs.
The procedure involves harvesting fat from the buttocks, saddlebags, hips, flanks, love handles, stomach, abdomen, knees, thighs, and arms—virtually anywhere it is present—using modern techniques that allow for the collection and purification of large amounts of fat. The fat is then transferred to the breasts.
The volumes harvested and injected can range from 200 ml to 1,500 ml. This depends on the patient’s available fat supply, the desired breast volume, and the breast’s ability to accommodate the fat tissue.
About 70% of the transferred fat cells will take root and survive in the breast.
Type of anesthesia for breast lipofilling: General Anesthesia
Duration of the procedure: 2 to 2.5 hours
Type of hospitalization: outpatient or one night at the clinic
