Intimate surgery: How to enhance your intimate areas?

Genital surgery is a procedure designed to rejuvenate and enhance the appearance of the female or male genital area.

The pursuit of beauty or intimate comfort is one of our areas of expertise in cosmetic surgery. Through simple procedures, we can provide significant relief to patients who feel self-conscious in their daily lives and struggle with body image issues regarding their intimate areas.

Here, we’ll go over these essential techniques:

Intimate Surgery: Liposuction of the Mons Pubis (Prominent Pubic Mound)

The mons pubis is the fleshy part of the pubic region, located above the female genitalia. Its normal shape should consist of a very gentle slope that descends from the lower abdomen to reveal the female genitalia. Unfortunately, this anatomically significant, symbolic, and alluring feature can be marred by excess fat deposits. Women complain of a bulge protruding from their underwear above the labia majora. The female genital openings are hidden, obscured by a terrible mound or layer of fat.

This fleshy mons pubis can form a distinct "banana-shaped" protrusion measuring up to 10 cm in length and 5 cm in height. Fortunately, this enlargement of the mons pubis can be easily treated. The plastic surgeon can use targeted liposuction near the pubic area to remove excess fat, gently refining the area to restore the mons pubis to its natural appearance and soften its contours.

The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia, and women can once again enjoy their sexuality openly.

Intimate Surgery: Hymenoplasty (Reconstruction of the Hymen)

The hymen is the symbol of female virginity. It is a mucous membrane at the entrance to the vagina, hidden behind the labia minora. It partially closes off the vagina; its rupture during first sexual intercourse is accompanied by brief, moderate bleeding.Women who have had sexual intercourse in the past and wish to regain symbolic and anatomical virginity may undergo hymenoplasty.

There are two main methods used by plastic surgeons:

  1. Transient and fragilehymenoplasty, the simplest and quickest procedure, involves partially reconstructing the hymen, with the immediate goal of achieving sexual intercourse accompanied by primary bleeding. Sexual intercourse must take place within one week of the surgical repair. Transient fragile hymenoplasty should be reserved for women who are eager to have sexual intercourse that will prove their new virginity (imminent marriages)
  2. So-called "solid and durable" hymenoplasty is a more comprehensive procedure that repairs the hymen along its entire length and across multiple layers. Sexual intercourse may then resume as early as the sixth week after surgery, with no time restrictions. Long-lasting hymenoplasty is reserved for women who do not know when they will have their next sexual intercourse or who plan to wait at least one and a half months after the operation.

Intimate surgery: Vaginal labiaplasty or nymphoplasty

Labiaplasty is a procedure to reduce the size of the labia minora.

The labia minora are overly developed and rub against the woman’s thighs or against her underwear. Some women constantly complain of pinching during prolonged periods of sitting, forcing them to change their position or to free the labia minora from being caught in their clothing (social embarrassment +++)

These labiaplasty procedures are particularly beneficial because, in addition to the functional discomfort experienced, there is also the unsightly appearance of the vulva. The labia minora protrude and hang down at the entrance to the vagina. This unsightly appearance is not always related to age or the number of pregnancies. It can occur in very young women with no prior history of such issues.

Cosmetic surgery of the labia minora involves various surgical techniques to make the labia minora less prominent and hidden behind the labia majora.

Once repaired through labiaplasty, the vulva is no longer painful and regains its natural beauty

Genital Surgery: Penile Thickening or Lengthening Surgery

Cosmetic genital surgery for men offers two options:

  1. Increasing the diameter of the penis or lengthening the penile shaft. Thickening is achieved using the classic lipofilling technique or byinjecting a specific typeof hyaluronic acid. Lipofilling involves harvesting fat from the body (such as the abdomen or thighs), centrifuging it, and then reinjecting it along the entire length of the penile shaft (as well as into the glans) into the superficial subcutaneous layers. A hyaluronic acid gel (specifically formulated for penile augmentation) can also be used without harvesting fat, via simple injections; its effects last approximately one year.
  2. Penile lengthening is performedsurgicallyby releasing tendon adhesions at the base of the penis near the pubic bone. This procedure increases the length of the penis by 2 cm both when flaccid and erect, while also improving its range of motion.

Ultimately, all of these techniques specific to the genital area should be evaluated by an intimate cosmetic surgeon during a consultation, who will find a solution to all your intimate concerns.
